These minerals, which act alkaline in the soil, are suitable for growing fruit vegetables, bulbs, small fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, or currants, and also many ornamental plants. You can sprinkle the ash directly on the beds, in doses of 0.5 to 2 kg per 10 m2, or add it to the compost, in doses of 3 to 5 kg per 1 m3. Minerals are thus bound to organic matter, and nitrogen is added, which wood ash does not contain.
